Amanda Holden's stylist told her to go braless in THAT green dress and show off her nipples

With just days go before we see Amanda Holden bare all on the red carpet on Britain's Got Talent - the star makes another attempt put out the fire caused by THAT dress. The extraordinary red carpet scenes, which will be shown this weekend, caused such a stir that Amanda has spoken out again, blaming her stylist for the braless look and that everyone an eyeful. The TV host rocked up to the Britain's Got Talent auditions in Birmingham with her nipples showing through a tight khaki dress after deciding not to cover up her assets. She... [Lire la suite]

Why “girly” shouldn’t be viewed as weak

In a new article for Ravishly, Anne Thériault explains why it’s so important that we stop associating power solely with masculine traits while devaluing femininity. I love this article because it made me question a lot of my own internal biases. Even though I consider myself an open-minded feminist, I’ll still sometimes instinctively reject something “girly” because I subconsciously associate it with weakness. That’s messed up on many levels, and Thériault eloquently explains why: Photo: bridesmaids dresses perth Little girls are,... [Lire la suite]

Marriage is one thing - weddings are another altogether

Here's something I've never said before and quite probably never will again, but I recently went looking for an episode of RTE's 'Don't Tell The Bride' - and I really enjoyed it. SHARE I found it on RTE Player online after it was recommended by a couple of sources who promised entertainment and a laugh or two, and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was an unusual episode in that it featured two women about to enter a civil partnership, rather than your typical bride and groom preparing for a traditional wedding - and in light of a... Couchsurfer: If you're Irish

Being Irish in London media circles is generally a good thing, but right now the combination seems even more dynamic and fruitful than usual. From serious to light, fashion to family entertainment, Irish presenters are mopping up the top gigs on British TV. Most recently, Keith Barry, Waterford magician and mentalist, landed a spot as resident mind hacker with ITV's new game show, You're Back In The Room, in which contestants must try and win money - £25,000 - somewhat hampered by the fact that they are hypnotised, into believing... Wedding Dress Codes Explained

I have worked in the bridal industry for fifteen years, so as you can imagine, I have seen a lot of beautiful weddings. I can't tell you the amount of times I have looked at photographs of a stunningly dressed bride and groom, and then looked at the guests standing next to them, and thought, 'what are they wearing?' I know as a wedding guest myself that it is not always easy to find the perfect outfit, but if there is a dress code on the invitation, it should be fairly straightforward, or is it? Don't worry because I have compiled a... [Lire la suite]

Ukraine’s Fashion Week to Focus on the Country’s Future

While Ukraine’s fight for its sovereignty continues on the frontlines of its Donbas regions, the country’s burgeoning fashion industry has almost finished preparing for the country’s very own fashion week which opens its doors tomorrow, giving designers a platform to reflect on the country’s current conflict and on Ukrainian identity as a whole. Woodward & Maple: When perception is reality

What did you see? Clearly, the colors are white and gold. How could anyone see even a tinge of black or blue? I’m referring, of course, to a photo posted on social media last week by a young woman in Scotland asking the world, quite literally, to identify the color of a dress worn by a guest at a wedding. The question – and ensuing answers – elicited such passion and consternation that a war of words broke out on line before the scientists explained how two people, looking at the same image, may perceive color differently depending...
